Gensler - Edelman Workplace

Project Description:

Edelman’s London headquarters, designed by Gensler, blends industrial character with a sense of warmth and flexibility suited to modern ways of working. Set within a 1900s warehouse, the space retains original architectural features while introducing adaptable elements that support a range of work styles.

The design balances open, collaborative areas with more intimate zones, enhanced by colour accents and reupholstered vintage furniture. The result is a dynamic workplace environment that encourages creativity and interaction, reflecting Edelman’s focus on collaboration, inclusivity, and sustainable design.

The Shoot:

This project was an exciting opportunity to document a large-scale workplace transformation within a historic building. Capturing the balance between retained industrial elements and contemporary design required a considered approach to composition, staging, and lighting.

Working across workplace interiors in London, the aim was to highlight the variety of spaces, from open-plan collaborative areas to quieter, more focused environments. Over the course of a day, we produced a set of images that emphasised layout, flow, and the material contrast between old and new.

The shoot involved careful staging and lighting to ensure each space felt natural while maintaining a consistent visual language throughout. Post-production focused on refining light balance, enhancing textures, and ensuring colour consistency across the full set of images.

The final series presents a clear and engaging view of the space, capturing both the architectural framework and the day-to-day usability of the environment, in line with a broader body of interior photography in London.
