Sturge & Toth – Orpheus Superyacht

Project Description:

The Orpheus superyacht, designed by Sturge & Toth and built by Numarine, is a refined expression of contemporary living at sea. The interiors balance elegance with comfort, combining bespoke furnishings, rich materials, and carefully curated details to create a space that feels both luxurious and inviting.

A harmonious palette of warm tones, natural textures, and tailored finishes defines the atmosphere throughout the yacht. Each area is thoughtfully composed to maximise both functionality and visual clarity, offering a seamless spatial experience that reflects the sophistication of modern yacht design. The project highlights the level of craftsmanship and coordination required to deliver a complex, highly resolved interior on water

The Shoot:

Photographed at the Cannes Yacht Show, this project introduced a unique set of challenges, with the yacht docked in port and guests moving through the space throughout the day. Maintaining consistency across the imagery required a focused, efficient approach while adapting to constant on-site changes.

Working across superyacht interiors, the shoot involved moving quickly through each space while carefully refining composition, styling, and lighting. A considered use of supplemental lighting helped shape the scenes, bringing out depth, material contrast, and the finer details that define the design.

Managing exterior views was one of the more complex aspects. With the yacht positioned in port, these required careful refinement in post-production to recreate a natural, open-water setting. Blending multiple exposures with ambient light ensured the final images felt balanced and believable.

Post-production played a key role in unifying the set, enhancing textures, correcting inconsistencies, and delivering a clean, polished result throughout. The final imagery reflects a consistent visual standard associated with a London interior photographer working internationally, while staying true to the original design intent.
