Studio Riebenbauer - GoldCoast Kieferortho

Project Description:

Located in Küsnacht, Switzerland, Goldcoast Kieferortho redefines the clinical environment through a refined and design-led approach. Designed by Studio Riebenbauer, the space moves away from the conventional aesthetic often associated with medical interiors, instead offering a calm, welcoming, and carefully curated atmosphere.

A sophisticated palette of warm tones, natural materials, and clean architectural lines creates a sense of balance and clarity throughout the clinic. Every detail is considered, from the flow between spaces to the tactile quality of surfaces, resulting in an environment that feels both professional and inviting. The project stands as a strong example of how thoughtful design can transform everyday healthcare spaces into something far more elevated and memorable.

The Shoot:

This project was a beautifully rewarding travel assignment, taking me to Zurich for several days to photograph the clinic in its unique setting near the lake. Being just a short walk from the location allowed for a relaxed, well-paced shoot, with time to fully engage with the space and surroundings. Projects like this, where interior design and architectural clarity work closely together, benefit from that slower, more considered approach.

I was commissioned directly by the owners, who were a pleasure to work with throughout the process. Their hospitality and attention to detail made the entire experience seamless, ensuring everything was well prepared and allowing the shoot to run smoothly. The clinic itself stood out immediately for its design quality, offering a refreshing departure from more typical clinical environments, with a strong focus on colour, materiality, and atmosphere.

The shoot was completed over one day, using a combination of natural light and supplemental flash to achieve a balanced and refined result. Post-production focused on bringing everything together into a cohesive visual language, with colour grading reinforcing the warmth and clarity of the interiors. The final images capture the calm, considered nature of the space, reflecting my work as a London interior photographer across healthcare and commercial environments.
