Glossier London Flagship Store
Project Description:
Glossier’s flagship store in Covent Garden blends the brand’s modern aesthetic with the rich history of its 17th-century townhouse location. The design team preserved the building’s original architectural details, such as ornate cornices, while introducing contemporary elements like perforated pink metal walls and marble accents.
The store features Glossier’s signature pink and brown hues, with elegant touches like a silver calligraphy “G” logo, a bubblegum-pink bench, and wooden parquet flooring. The space balances historical charm with the brand’s fresh, minimalist style, creating a unique retail experience.
The Shoot:
I was thrilled when Glossier reached out about photographing their new flagship store in London. Working with a brand of this scale made the process smooth and efficient, with a clear structure from the outset. They provided a detailed shot list with renders of the proposed angles, which we were able to replicate precisely on the day of the shoot. Projects like this, where retail interiors sit within a strong architectural context, benefit from that level of preparation and alignment.
Before the shoot, we conducted a recce to fully understand the space and refine our approach. I worked closely with their lead designer, who flew in from New York, maintaining constant communication with the wider team. With a focused shot list of 8–10 images, we were able to take the time to perfect each composition, ensuring the final result reflected both the design intent and the brand identity, in line with my work as a London interior photographer capturing retail and commercial spaces.
