Covet Noir - Belgravia Residence
Project Description:
This Belgravia townhouse was reimagined as a warm, Mediterranean-inspired sanctuary with a touch of California cool. The original dark timber and heavy detailing were replaced with cleaner, modern architectural features, including rounded corners and wide plank oak floors to introduce warmth and soften the spaces.
Frameless doorways and seamless transitions between rooms enhance the sense of openness and flow, while soft Bauwerk walls accentuate the newly created curves, giving the home a relaxed yet refined atmosphere.
The Shoot:
Working with Covet Noir for the first time on this project was a fantastic experience. We collaborated closely to find the best angles to showcase their work, with a strong focus on how the updated architectural features shaped each space. This kind of project benefits from a clear understanding of both form and flow across multiple levels.
The shoot was primarily shot in natural light, allowing the warmth of the materials and the softness of the finishes to come through. In areas such as the guest bathrooms, I introduced minimal supplemental lighting to enhance depth without relying on practical lights, which can often flatten the scene.
Shot over one full day across multiple floors, the conditions worked in our favour, helping capture the intended atmosphere. In post-production, I focused on maintaining consistency in colour and lighting, refining each image to accurately reflect the design. The final result presents the project through the style of interior design photography in London, focusing on clarity, balance, and material detail.
