Rina Patel - Opulent London Residence

Project Description:

This opulent London residence, designed by Rina Patel, is a richly layered interior shaped by principles of Vastu Shastra and a refined approach to contemporary living. The design brings together a diverse palette of materials, colours, and textures, creating distinct zones that each carry their own identity while remaining visually cohesive.

From intricate detailing to bold yet balanced colour compositions, the interiors reflect a strong sense of personality and craftsmanship. The space moves fluidly between calm and expressive moments, with carefully curated finishes and furnishings enhancing both function and atmosphere. The result is a home that feels both deeply personal and visually striking, grounded in tradition yet elevated through a modern lens.

The Shoot:

This was a one-day shoot that produced 20 final images, resulting in a truly unique and beautifully executed project. Working with Rina and the homeowner was a genuine pleasure, thanks to a welcoming, supportive atmosphere that made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Projects like this, where interior design sits within a strong architectural framework, benefit from a careful and considered approach to composition.

The interiors offered a wide variety of materials and colour compositions, with each space presenting its own character and visual interest. The focus throughout the shoot was on capturing that diversity while maintaining a cohesive, balanced look across the entire set of images.

I used supplemental flash to shape the light and enhance depth, carefully blending it with natural light to achieve a refined and natural result. Post-production brought everything together, ensuring consistency, balance, and a polished finish across the image set. The final images reflect the richness of the design and attention to detail, aligned with my work as a London interior design photographer capturing high-end residential spaces.
