Olga Ashby - Burgundy Paris

Project Description:

This Paris apartment, designed by Olga Ashby Interiors, is a refined and highly curated living space where elegance meets individuality. The design is defined by a sophisticated layering of materials, textures, and carefully selected objects, creating interiors that feel both composed and deeply personal.

Each room is thoughtfully styled, with a strong emphasis on detail, from sculptural furniture to curated accessories and floral arrangements that bring softness and life into the space. The palette is balanced and harmonious, allowing subtle contrasts and textures to create depth without overwhelming the overall composition.

The result is an interior that feels timeless yet expressive, where every element has been considered and placed with intention, creating a calm and visually rich environment.

The Shoot:

This was one of my favourite shoots, working once again with Olga, with whom I have built a strong and intuitive working relationship over time. Our collaboration feels effortless, with a shared understanding of composition, detail, and timing that allows the shoot to flow naturally and efficiently. Projects like this, where interior design is closely tied to architectural context, benefit from that level of alignment.

Olga’s attention to detail and styling is always exceptional. Every scene is carefully composed, with unique objects, textures, and floral arrangements that elevate each frame and give the images a distinct identity. It is always a pleasure to capture work at this level of refinement.

The project was primarily shot using natural light, which complemented the softness and atmosphere of the interiors. In selected areas such as the kitchen and bathroom, I introduced subtle flash to maintain consistency where needed. Post-production focused on preserving that natural feel while ensuring clarity and cohesion across the set. The final result reflects a calm, detailed approach to interior design photography, in line with my work as a London-based interior photographer capturing residential spaces with a strong sense of identity.
