TO Interior Design - Am Hof 8

Project Description:

The Am Hof 8 private members club in Vienna combines historic elegance with vibrant, contemporary design. Set within a medieval building, the club’s aesthetic merges exotic patterns, bold colours, and luxurious fabrics such as velvet and silk, along with brass accents, with modern custom furnishings. Each room offers a unique visual experience inspired by Vienna’s cultural landmarks and London’s tradition of private clubs, while preserving the building’s architectural heritage.

The Shoot:

Shooting the Am Hof 8 private members’ club in Vienna was an exciting and rewarding experience, especially working with one of my favourite clients, who has taken me across Europe for various projects. Spaces like this, where strong interior design meets historic architecture, offer a unique opportunity to capture both atmosphere and structure within the same frame.

With its beautiful lighting design, this vibrant and dynamic environment provided endless inspiration. Over two days, we captured the essence of Austria’s first private members club, using supplemental lighting to bring out the mood and character of the darker areas. Staying at the club overnight allowed me to fully experience how the space shifts from day to night, which naturally informed the way the images were approached.

The project was widely published, further elevating the club’s presence and attracting a diverse audience. Shooting in such a historic and central location enhanced the overall experience, and the final images reflect a more expressive side of my work as a London interior photographer across hospitality and design-led spaces.
